My Sports Life

I have played many sports in my life as a whole and because of these sports, my life has changed so much. I love sports and I have become such a better play than when I first started. I cannot imagine my life without sports because it would literally be nothing compared to what it is now. I am so thankful that I started sports! It has brought me on many adventures and great experiences. I play a total of three sports and basketball is honestly my favorite.

I first play basketball. I have been playing this sport the longest because it is my favorite. I have a lot of fun playing basketball. I love my team, but I am so sad that we aren't playing together right now. Thankfully, we will be playing in some basketball tournaments in the summer. It might interact with my other sports though. That is what sucks about playing lots of sports. I have played for many teams as well. I have played for the Little Rebels, for the 7th grade basketball team for Rebels (now 8th grade), an Erie team, and a Centaurus Warriors team in Louisville. All of them were so fun! Right now I am still playing for the Warriors.

I also play volleyball. I have been with the same coach for every year that I have played. I would have to say that I like this sport the least. I still like but, but not as much as the other sports I play. Out of all of the places, I think I am best at hitter. I am tall and I am also left handed. I like outside. I have had pretty much all the people on my team now that I did when I was little. Of course, we have had a bunch of little fifth graders on our team that weren't that good, but we made it to the championship. The other team in the championships were really good. We would've beat them if we didn't have our silly mistakes. We all were upset, but we are going to play them again someday and beat them!

Lastly, I play softball. I pitch and I play first base. I love them both so much. Just being out on the field is amazing because I missed it so much. I have the most amazing coach ever. She is like my second mom. She is always there for me and we have such amazing memories. She is so funny. I really miss my softball team from last year, but you know that is what happens. You will always have to deal with not having the same team that you had before. Softball is my second favorite sport. Being up on that mound, you have a lot of stress on you! And so is first. I am pretty glad that I have long arms because when someone overthrows it, I can jump up really high to get it. I have played since I was 8 years old and I love it.

I don't do gymnastics, but I really really really want to. I have been stretching to get my flexibility back because when I was little, I could do the splits. I want to be able to do tricks and I want to try something new! I want to meet new people and have fun playing another sport. I have watched the movie "Stick It" since I was little, and every time I watch it, I want to do gymnastics more and more. It seems like a sport that you have to be flexible and I want it back. I used to do cheer leading, but I don't like it that anymore. We used to just cheer for the football player. I would probably still be doing it if it was an inside cheer leading.

I love doing every sport that I do and I am really glad I started playing when I was little! :)

Club Basketball

Basketball has been my passion ever since my brother started when he was about 5 or 6. We both has played on a rec league for a long time with the Rebels. I wasn't as good as I thought I was, but I tried to play every second I could at home. I got a lot better. Later on, everyone started to join and I got bored. During those games, I had my best friends on that team. One of them is still playing with me now on a competitive league. The story of my basketball life is pretty crazy.

My brother had loved the game as much as I did, so I tried to play against him in the driveway. We just played pickup games and he of course beat me. Then, I found out that if you lose the game, you get better. You learn from your mistakes, and you don't always have to win to be a champion! I really thank my brother for helping me because without him, I would still trying to be good on the rec team. In rec, I played an Erie team. We were undefeated all year, until the last game in the championships. The Erie team was really good and so were we. We just weren't ready because we had been playing bad teams all year, so we hadn't actually been ready, we were surprised. It was a close game, but we won. I soon got a place on the eighth grade basketball team, (seventh at the time) when I was a 5th grader. I played with all the girls in my brothers classes. It was very fun, but I couldn't play anymore because the season ended.

In that season of basketball, it was hard for me to play. Not because I was bad, it was because I had medical conditions. I still played the game because I loved it with all my heart though. I had to go in the corner of a gym, get flipped over on a chair, and get an ice pack of my neck and head because of my medical conditions. I had a problem with my heart. Soon I got it all fixed with a heart surgery. All my rec years, my dad had been coaching. Later on in the summer, that Erie coach got a hold of my dad and asked him if we wanted to start a competitive team with his girls. 2 of us really wanted to and that was Sydnie and I. I am not bragging, but we were the best on the rec team, so we wanted to step ahead.

So, we started to practice, and we didn't really like it because we didn't know anyone. We were scared, and there were a bunch of high schoolers there and they were good. This wasn't what we were thinking. It was pretty fun and then I saw someone I knew from volleyball. Sooner or later, it was just the little girls practicing. (us) I realized it was so much fun and U liked it a lot more that rec. We started getting into games and playing. We all got really close until we had to leave the club because we weren't that good. It was at the end of the season. The same coach, asked us to join another club for a Centaurus team. We played with the girls that we played against. The three girls left the club with us so we could have good people on our team. So it was us five. We were realllllllyyyy close. And we still are! Well anyways, we started that team and played in tournaments on holidays, weekends, and even some week days. We won a ton of trophies and got a lot of t-shirts. I have about 5 or 6 shirts.

In January, I got a bad bone infection. I didn't know that I had one until I went to 11 different doctors. It had to be that I got hurt right before our big tournament at UNC. Once the doctors found out, I had to get a surgery. It was very hard. I still haven't played since November. I miss it a lot. But at least I am going to play in summer tournaments. I am SOOOO excited I cannot wait. I still have to wait until softball is over, but it will come soon enough.

Family

 My Family
I love my family. They are amazing and if it wasn't for them I wouldn't be where I am today. It is so crazy to think that if it wasn't for them I wouldn't be alive. They are loving, funny, and they make me strong. All together there are four of us. I am truly so glad to them as a part of my life.

First, I have my brother. I am the youngest and he is the oldest. There are two of us, so we have to rely on each other to help when we need it. His name is Derek. Yes, he is a real jerk sometimes, but DEEEEP down I kinda love him. Having a big brother has some pros and cons. Usually he is so mean to me. He hits me, punches me, but soon enough I get used to it because I learn that he is just wanting to have fun since he doesn't have a brother to jack around with. He does a lot of sports and is very good at them. I am proud of him. He is in eighth grade and plays with the upper class-men. He is very good at basketball. Both of us love basketball and we usually get to go to the rec center and just shoot around. He is the person that inspired me to start basketball. I love him and I am very proud of him for being who he is today. :)

Next, I have my mom. She is beautiful. She is the most amazing person I have ever met. She is willing to do anything for me and I am SO thankful for her. I couldn't imagine waking up and not being able to say hi. It would be miserable. Her name is Kari. My mom will stop whatever she is doing just to take me somewhere. She is always my mom and forever my friend. She makes everyday in my life better. I am surprised she hasn't left me because I am such a pain in the butt. She puts up with my brother and I fighting, getting up at 5 o'clock to go to my competitive basketball games, waiting for me, and just many other things that I can't thank her enough for. She is the best mom I could ever ask for. I know that that sounds a little overrated. but it is plain out true and I wouldn't want to spend a half a second without my mom in my life. My mom >>>>yours.

Then, I have my daddio. He is always there to back me up and I love how we can always mess around together. Yes, he gets mad at us, but we just laugh, and us laughing, he just lets it roll of his back. His name is Jarod. I really think he looks like Bradley Cooper from American Sniper. Everyone thinks he looks like that. He really does though. Without my dad, I wouldn't be happy. He is what makes me happy, he is what makes me smile, and laugh. He is the one who usually takes me to school in the morning, the one who wakes me up when I miss my alarm, he is the one that drives me to basketball, ect. I will never ever be able to pay him back for all the good things he has done. He will always be my king, even if I find my prince someday.

Lastly, is my pups. Their names are Walter and Edgar. I like Walter more than Edgar for sure. Walter is a black lab and Edgar is a miniature schnauzer. Edgar is my mom's favorite. Walter is my dog and I train him well. He has so much personality and I love him so much. I love how soft his ears are and how sweet he is. I love snuggling with him and I just can't get over how cute he is. Walter always tries to be a lap dog, but he is so big! Edgar on the other hand is small. I don;t really think he is as cute as Walter. I love them both though. I just love dogs. Edgar has the most annoying bark, but I still love them. "When girls say diamonds are their best friends, they obviously never had a dog." :)
